Standards for Business Accreditation

Executive Summary

A&M University‐San Antonio (A&M‐SA) is a public university within the Texas A&M System which is governed by Board of Regents and operates under the laws of the state of Texas and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. A&M‐SA is  accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). The university currently has over 6,500 students and nearly 200 full‐time faculty. The College of Business (CoB) serves over 2,000 students and is one of three colleges at the university.

In February 2017, AACSB approved the CoB’s Eligibility Application and the report contained in this document represents more than five years of work by the college’s faculty and administration toward the goal of receiving final AACSB  accreditation. Since February 2017, the CoB has worked closely with their AACSB mentor, Dr. Jim Brodzinski in working toward alignment with the required AACSB Standards. Table 1 below, provides a summary of the present status of the CoB’s Alignment with AACSB Standards.
