Sabina Remmers de Vries is an assistant professor in the counseling department of Texas A&M University – San Antonio. She was born and raised in Germany but has called San Antonio, Texas her home for many years. Dr. de Vries earned a B.A. in Psychology and an M.A. from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She also received her doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Texas at San Antonio. In terms  of credentials, she holds a Texas LPC license and is a State of Texas Board Approved LPC  Supervisor (LPC-S). She is also a National Certified Counselor (NCC). Dr. de Vries provided  counseling services to the homeless and survivors of domestic violence for six years. She has also been maintaining a busy private practice for over eight years and has extensive experience in providing counseling services for individuals, couples, and families as well as supervising Interns working toward their license. Dr. de Vries has published on a variety of topic including homelessness and domestic violence.
