FALL 2017

As Texas A&M University-San Antonio welcomes more than 6,000 students to campus for the fall 2017 semester, we want to make sure faculty, staff and students know about several new classroom facilities.

Some students will be attending classes in two new modular buildings: Modular A and Modular B. Located just to the west of the portable buildings south of CAB, the Mod A and Mod B buildings feature 17 classrooms.

In addition, as a temporary solution, we have renamed several of the portable buildings that were here last year Modular C. Some students will attend classes in Mod C 101, 102 and 105.

Please see the Images and Maps link for the locations of these buildings and their classrooms.

February 9, 2017

On Thursday, February 9, the Board of Regents approved the Science & Technology Building for Texas A&M University-San Antonio. Construction of the new building begins February 21 with an anticipated opening in fall 2018. Due to the building construction, the parking area will be fenced and unavailable.

On February 21, a new, temporary parking lot will open for faculty and staff. Construction workers are already on campus preparing the temporary lot, which will provide 239 parking spaces, as the new construction will result in the removal of 245 parking spaces in Parking Lot 2, the main student parking lot. Student parking will remain a priority in Parking Lot 2 and we prefer staff and faculty park in the temporary lot.

Please note the additional parking lot is a temporary solution and a long-term parking solution is forthcoming. Additionally, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) parking will not be compromised, and 30 temporary ADA parking spaces are being installed west of the Central Academic Building.

For additional questions about parking, contact UPD by phone at (210) 784-1900 or email police@tamusa.edu.
