(TMMTX) presented a special scholarship in support of the study of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Thomas Seabers of East Central High School is only the second student to ever receive a check for $25,000 from this prestigious program based on his intentions to become a math teacher and his outstanding application. Dr. Kate Gillen, assistant professor in the College of Arts & Sciences, will have an article published in the 2014 issue of Shakespeare Jahrbuch (Yearbook), an annual, peer reviewed journal published by the German Shakespeare Society. Titled, "'What he speaks is all in debt': Credit, Representation, and Theatrical Critique in Timon of Athens," the article is dedicated to the relationship of money and power in Shakespeare's works.
