External Scholarship Opportunities
Students are encouraged to seek scholarships through Texas A&M University-San Antonio and from outside resources. The Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid can help with processing privately funded scholarships. A&M-SA does not endorse any of these websites. The following information is designed to be starting point to help students find additional scholarship resources. Scholarship deadlines listed below are subject to change. Review the scholarship organization's website for official deadlines.
Avoid Scholarship Scams
Be aware of potential scholarship scams. Avoid scholarship organizations that charge a fee. Most legitimate scholarship search engines and applications are free, and should not ask for personal information such as Social Security number, credit card number, or banking information.

Reporting Awards from Outside Texas A&M-SA...
Required Student Action
If you are the recipient of any type of award, typically scholarships or corporate sponsorships, from a source other than Texas A&M University-San Antonio, you must notify the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid as soon as possible. Receipt of a scholarship may change the composition of a financial aid award, and in some cases, may reduce student loans or tuition grants. You may be required to repay financial assistance you have already received if you are no longer eligible for those aid programs. Simply email email@example.com with details of the award such as donor's name, award amount, and semester of the award.
Required Donor Action
Donors should enclose their scholarship guidelines with the check, or complete an External Scholarship Donor Agreement Form to provide processing instructions. The scholarship check should be made payable to Texas A&M University-San Antonio. Scholarships checks and guidelines should be sent to the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid, One University Way, San Antonio, TX 78224. Please note: all external scholarships are split evenly between the fall and spring semester unless otherwise indicated by the scholarship donor.
Your donor may require that you provide proof of enrollment prior to mailing Texas A&M-SA your scholarship check. Typically, you can provide your donor with one of the following:
-A copy of your class schedule
-A copy of your registration bill
However, if your donor requires an official enrollment verification document, you will need to contact the University Registrar's Office.
