External Scholarship Opportunities
Students are encouraged to seek scholarship through Texas A&M University-San Antonio and from outside resources. The Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid can help with processing privately funded scholarships. Texas A&M University-San Antonio does not endorse any of these websites. The following information is designed to be starting point to help students find additional scholarship resources. Scholarship deadlines listed below are subject to change. Please review the scholarship organization's website for official deadlines.
Avoid Scholarship Scams
Make sure you are aware of financial scams when applying for external scholarships. Avoid scholarship organizations that charge a fee. Most legitimate scholarship search engines and applications are free and should not ask for personal information such as Social Security number, credit card number, or banking information.
If awarded an external scholarship, please notify the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid. Receipt of a scholarship may change the composition of a financial aid award, and in some cases, may reduce student loans or tuition grants.
All external scholarships are split evenly between the fall and spring semester unless otherwise indicated by the scholarship donor. Donors should enclose their scholarship guidelines with the check or complete a External Scholarship Donor Agreement Form to provide processing instructions.
Scholarships checks and guidelines should be sent to the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid, One University Way, San Antonio, TX 78224.
