HSI Week 2022 Events
What is HSI Week?
The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) has announced National Hispanic-Serving Institutions week will be observed from Sept. 12-18, 2022. The observance takes place during National Hispanic Heritage Month, celebrated Sept. 15-Oct. 15. A&M-SA will include events and discussions to foster and promote inclusive conversations about the Hispanic culture and the benefits of being a Hispanic Serving Institution.
HSIs are defined by federal law as accredited, degree-granting, public or private nonprofit institutions of higher Edu. With 25% or more total undergraduate Hispanic full-time equivalent (FTE) student enrollment, which also has an enrollment of low-income students and low average educational and general expenditures per FTE student, compared to similar institutions
