Dr. Jesse Pisors has more than 20 years of higher education administration experience, including his most recent past position as vice president for advancement and external relations with the University of Houston-Victoria (UHV), a position he held from 2015 until he joined A&M-San Antonio in March 2022.
During his tenure at UHV, he played a leadership role in the University of Houston System's successful $1 billion campaign and set multiple fundraising records. In addition to his responsibilities at UHV, he served on the boards of the Victoria Rotary Club, the Victoria Rotary Foundation, the Victoria Chamber of Commerce, and the Faith Academy, among other organizations. Dr. Pisors is a CASE District IV board member and has presented at several CASE conferences.
Prior to his service at UHV, Dr. Pisors served as executive director of development and alumni relations at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and as senior director of development and alumni relations at his alma mater, Oral Roberts University. He was headmaster of a private school, Instituto Las Américas De Parral, in Mexico for several years and is fluent in Spanish. Previously, Dr. Pisors served as assistant director for public relations at Oral Roberts University.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and Master of Education in School Administration from Oral Roberts University. Dr. Pisors holds a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration from Texas Tech University.
