Meet the Team

Juan Espinoza is the Transfer Student Engagement Coordinator. He's also a transfer student from the Alamo colleges and an alumnus class of 2016! Juan enjoys building and executing programming for all transfer students on campus and aims to provide the best experience from admission to commencement.  When you see him on campus, don't hesitate to say "HELLO!" or ask him for some information.

Fun Fact: Juan coached a National Championship drill team for 14 years!

Karina Salmon is a Junior at Texas A&M University- San Antonio majoring in Kinesiology with a focus in Pre Physical Therapy.  Throughout her time at A&M - SA she has worked for the Office of Student Transition and Family Engagement as an Orientation Leader and as a Transfer Student Coordinator. Also she is involved in the third cohort of the President’s Leadership Class.

Fun Fact: Kari is serving as the 2020 Ms. A&M- San Antonio.

Shanell Vespry is a Junior at Texas A&M University- San Antonio majoring in Kinesiology with a focus in Pre Physical Therapy. She will be be graduating in spring of 2022 however, will be taking summer courses in 2021 to graduate a semester early. Throughout her time at A&M- SA, she has worked for the Office of Student Transitions and Family Engagement as a Transfer Student Coordinator.

 Fun Fact: Shanell is the last out of 4 girls to graduate from college.
