MBA Admissions Testing Information

Welcome to the College of Business at Texas A&M University-San Antonio. Thank you for your interest in the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. Starting in fall 2020 the admissions requirements will require applicants to enroll in Ivy Software courses. The courses are administered online. Applicants must pass each course with a minimum grade of 80% in order to gain admission into the MBA program at A&M-SA.

The purpose of the Ivy Software/MBA Prep Works is to ensure applicants entry-level proficiency for graduate-level business courses. It is important to the quality of the program that all applicants possess fundamental quantitative business knowledge. Ivy Software covers four courses. They are Financial Accounting, Understanding Corporate Finance, Business Math and Statistics, and Fundamentals of Economics. The course fee covers course materials and up to three attempts per exam.

Applicants will be notified to commence Ivy Software testing after successfully completing Phase 1 of the MBA admissions process. The last day to complete entrance exams is August 5th for fall admission and December 20th for spring admission.

Ivy Software Testing Information

  • The fee is $75 per course. Fees are not eligible for Federal Student Aid, Veteran, or Military benefits.
  • Corresponding exams are proctored online.
  • Ivy Software courses require a minimum score of 80% for passing.
  • All exams must be successfully completed by the final submission deadline.
  • The expectation per course completion is 15 to 35 hours.
  • Ivy Software courses are not for academic credit and will not appear on transcripts.
  • Ivy Software courses are not eligible for financial aid and are not used for determining federal financial aid or immigration status.
