Texas A&M-San Antonio Educator Preparation Program (EPP) Applications

The Educator Preparation Program at Texas A&M San Antonio requires students to apply for admission to the EPP, Field Residency and Clinical Teaching.  Below are requirements for each application.

Applications for Fall Semesters are available the last two weeks of February.

Applications for Spring Semesters are available the last two weeks of September.

EPP Admission Requirements

EC-6 Core Content, 4-8 Core Content, and EC-6 or 4-8 with EC-12 Special Education Applicants

  1. Overall or last 60 hour GPA of 2.75 or better (at the time the application is submitted)
  2. Be Core Complete - checked at the top of Degree Works (before the next semester begins)
  3. Have completed the following courses with a C or better: HIST 2301, MATH 1350, MATH 1351, EDCI 1301

EC-6 Bilingual Applicants

  1. Above list for EC-6 and 4-8 Core Content Applicants; and
  2. Approval from the Bilingual Faculty

7-12 History, Social Studies, ELAR and EC-12 Kinesiology Applicants

  1. Overall or last 60 hour GPA of 2.75 or better (at the time the application is submitted)
  2. Be Core Complete - checked at the top of Degree Works (before the next semester begins)
  3. Have completed at least 12 hours in your major area with a C or better

7-12 Math and Science Applicants

  1. Overall or last 60 hour GPA of 2.75 or better (at the time the application is submitted)
  2. Be Core Complete - checked at the top of Degree Works (before the next semester begins)
  3. Have completed at least 15 hours in your major area with a C or better

7-12 Any Subject with EC-12 Special Education

  1. Above list for 7-12 subject area; and
  2. EDCI 1301
