Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities

Due to COVID-19 concerns, the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities is operating remotely. Until further notice, all conduct meetings will be held virtually either over the phone or via WebEx. Students with questions regarding their conduct case or sanctions can contact their assigned conduct officer. For general questions, please email studentrr@tamusa.edu.

Staff availability remains consistent with normal office hours: Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m. CST.

Mail & Receiving - Auxilary Services

Due to the COVID-19 “Stay Home/Work Safe” situation and the safety of our Jaguar family, the Mail & Receiving Department’s new hours of operation are as follows:

Monday, Wednesday and Friday: CLOSED
Tuesday & Thursday: OPEN 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Outgoing and incoming mail and packages will be processed during our open hours. The window will remain closed to maintain social distancing, but feel free to knock or ring the bell.

If you need immediate attention, feel free to call us or email centralreceiving@tamusa.edu.

Student Academic Success Center

As a result of the decision to move all classes to an online instruction format Monday, March 23, 2020, through the end of the Spring 2020 semester, the Student Academic Success Center (SASC) has updated the delivery of its services. 

Effective Immediately: There will be no in-person services offered by the SASC staff through the end of the semester. All services will be delivered remotely.

Testing Center

The Texas A&M-San Antonio Testing Center is open and operational.  For the health and safety of the staff and other examinees, we ask that if you are ill or have been exposed to COVID-19 that you do not schedule an appointment OR that you cancel or reschedule your existing testing appointment by calling the Testing Center directly.

Our center is taking extra precautions by sanitizing testing stations between each examinee and are giving examinees extra space in regards to seating.  If you feel it necessary to wear a surgical mask and latex gloves, you can do so.  However, you will be required to take these items off to verify identification and to have them inspected.

Writing Center

The Jaguar Writing Center has moved online until courses resume meetings on campus. All of our staff will be working online during this time. Students are able to sign up for two types of digital sessions: eTutoring and Online Tutoring. Details about each session type can be found under Digital Appointments to the right. As before, appointments can be scheduled online through JagWire.

Office of the Registrars

Effective immediately the Office of the Registrar services are available to assist you despite the recently announced cancellation of all in-person classes for COVID-19 (coronavirus) precautions. Our office functions have all moved to small scale operations, please review our website links for further assistance. All team members are still actively available to assist you with your requests. We encourage students to utilize virtual options as much as possible when seeking assistance. We will have limited staff in the office Monday through Friday.

In response to unexpected circumstances, the Add/Drop form request can be emailed to registrar@tamusa.edu. All requests submitted will be answered in the order they were received. Our normal response time for completed forms is 2-3 business days. Please understand a possible delay due to the high volume. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Undergraduate Academic Advising

Undergraduate Academic Advising is offering remote services only. All appointments will be conducted by phone or WebEx.

The General’s Store is open for business during our regular hours (Wednesdays 2-6 p.m., Thursdays 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.). In an effort to promote social distancing, we have moved to a curbside model. Please visit our website for more information and to place your order.
