Texas A&M University-San Antonio and Universidad de Malaga Announce Partnership

SAN ANTONIO — Texas A&M University-San Antonio has agreed to a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Universidad de Málaga in Málaga, Spain that will provide both universities with educational enhancements. On November 21, 2011, Dr. Maria Hernandez Ferrier, president of Texas A&M University-San Antonio, signed the MOU with José Ángel Narváez Bueno, associated president for research matters, on behalf of Adelaida de la Calla, president of Universidad de Málaga. The MOU will establish a framework for the exchange of faculty, researchers and students. The agreement also allows for future research partnerships, the exchange of academic materials, publications and more.

The agreement comes as A&M-San Antonio’s Office of International Programs gains momentum. Through specially designed courses, students in a variety of fields have already travelled to Brazil, Mexico and Romania with trips to Ireland and Spain planned for the coming months.
