Henry G. Cisneros Institute
In 2018, the Texas A&M University System Board of Regents approved the establishment of the Dr. Henry G. Cisneros Institute for Emerging Leaders at Texas A&M-San Antonio. Named in honor of Dr. Henry G. Cisneros and in recognition of his lead gift of $1 million, the Cisneros Institute will serve as an incubator of leadership talent to serve the nation.

Henry G. Cisneros Leadership Program
Texas A&M University-San Antonio has forged a vision for an institute that will develop graduates skilled in taking the initiative, building and cultivating effective teams, managing group dynamics, making ethical decisions, leading change in complex environments, and dealing with organizational challenges. These emerging leaders will strengthen the communities of South Texas and beyond by effecting social and economic change. Students participating in programs will be well-prepared to solve some of our region’s most pressing problems.
We hope you consider building on the momentum of Dr. Cisneros' initial gift to help bring our vision for the institute to fruition. Your gift will support scholarships, internships, and fellowships for outstanding students and endowed academic positions to attract distinguished leadership faculty, a leadership lecture series, and a world-class research program. Together, we will provide a tremendous educational experience for our students worthy of Dr. Cisneros' legacy.
