Meet the Jag Guides

Dolores Torres
Hometown: San Antonio
Major: English, Borderlands Studies Minor
Class of 2021

I chose to be a Jag Guide in order to build up my speaking skills and help me come out of my shell. Giving tours has helped me build my presentation skills, be more outgoing when it comes to presentations, and I love being able to connect with future students and parents to help them with questions they have about this big step in life called college! I'm interested in writing and reading, something I do a lot of as an English Major, and hope to eventually become an English Professor and published author.

Being a Jag Guide at Texas A&M University-San Antonio means being part of a family filled with people who truly care for you and your success. Go Jags!

Joseph Platt

Major: History , Minor in Borderlands Studies
Class of 2021

My interests range from Star Wars to sword fighting in the woods near my home. I chose Texas A&M-San Antonio because it enabled me to stay with my family while I attend college. I chose to be a Jag Guide because I knew this would be an excellent way to meet with prospective students and help bolstering my presentation skills! My favorite historical fact about the University is that it first began allowing freshman to enroll in 2016, aligning perfectly with my high school graduation. Go Jaguars!
