Student Counseling Services provides alcohol and other drugs (AOD) education, prevention, and intervention to students who have questions, concerns, or are curious about the different issues related to alcohol and drug use. Licensed counselors are on staff to provide students with the necessary tools to manage or help prevent AOD issues.

Jaguar First Fridays

The A&M-SA Drug and Alcohol Prevention Committee hosts late night activities on campus on the first Friday of each month during the fall and spring semesters.  The goal of these events are to promote a safe and sober environment for students to socialize and have fun on campus.

The Drug Free Schools and Communities Regulations (34 CFR Part 86) of the Drug Free Schools and Communities Act (DFSCA) require all Institutions of Higher Education (IHE) such as Texas A&M University- San Antonio (A&M-SA) to certify that it has implemented programs to prevent the abuse of alcohol and use, and/or distribution of illicit drugs both by student and employees either on its premises and as part of any of its activities.
