Elizabeth Hasseler's Headshot

Elizabeth Hasseler holds a B.A. from the University of Washington (2012) and an M.A. and Ph.D. (2014 and 2018) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She currently teaches courses in medieval Europe and world civilizations. Her research involves history writing and conversion on the northern borderlands of Latin Christendom. She is currently working on a book about how the writing of the legends of sanctified kings in the twelfth and thirteenth centuries established a set of canonical historical narratives about the entry of the Scandinavian peoples into the Latin Christian community during the previous century.
