Designated Tuition and Fee Assistance Waiver

Texas A&M University-San Antonio is committed to supporting the professional and academic growth of our employees. Through the Designated Tuition and Fee Assistance Waiver, eligible employees can take advantage of reduced-cost educational opportunities on campus.

Eligibility

To qualify for the waiver, employees must:

  • Be a full-time budgeted employee
  • Have completed at least 3 months (90 days) of full-time employment with A&M-San Antonio as of the Census date
  • Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0

TAMUSA employees enrolled in the 11-month MBA program are not eligible for the standard employee waiver associated with this program. We encourage you to reach out to the College of Business to inquire on the potential in receiving an employee discount.

Program Guidelines

Eligible employees may:

  • Register for courses at Texas A&M University-San Antonio
  • Attend classes during their normal work hours
  • Enroll in up to six credit hours per semester during normal working hours

Part-time employees may take courses but are not eligible for the Designated Tuition and Fee Assistance Waiver.

Accounting for Class Hours

Employees attending courses during their normal working hours must account for that time using one of the following options:

  1. Make up the class hours during the same workweek the class is attended.
  2. Use accrued compensatory time or vacation time to cover class hours.

How to Apply

  • Complete and submit the online request form by the payment deadline of the term for which registration is requested.
