Seasonal Extreme Heat Warning/Heat Advisory
July 8, 2026
Texas summer months frequently reach high 90's and periods of days over 100 degrees. The Heat Index values resulting from humidity increase how hot it can feel relative to temperature. Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. Please use caution if you must be outside: drink plenty of water, take breaks, and wear light-colored, loose clothing.
People may suffer from heat-related illnesses at any time of the year, but particularly during hot, humid conditions. Because the climate of San Antonio is conducive to these conditions, people must take preventive measures hot and humid days to reduce their risk. Examples of heat-related illnesses include heat exhaustion, heat stroke, heat cramps, dehydration, and heat rash.
