Turning in Found Property
Found property may be turned in 24/7 to the University Police Department Modular building, east of the Business Library Hall (BLH). Our staff will secure the property for safekeeping and make an effort to locate the owner.
Reporting Lost Property
To report a Lost Item that is not on the social media page or does not fit into a category in the below chart, please fill out a Lost Property Form. We will check our records to see if we have the item, and then we will contact you if the item is in our custody. If you would like to file a police report for the item, please contact the police department or head to the PD Modular near BLH and Lot 4 and an officer can speak with you.

Abandoned or Unclaimed Property
The Texas A&M University – San Antonio Police Department Lost and Found, in accordance with Texas Code of Criminal Procedure Article 18.17 as it relates to the Disposition of Abandoned or Unclaimed Property, is hereby giving notice to the public of the listed items.
If the owner does not claim this property before the 90th day after the date of this notice, the property will be disposed of in a manner as described in Article 18.17.
Proof of Ownership Required
For found property claimant may provide proof of ownership in any of the following ways:
- Verify the serial number of the item.
- Present a dated receipt of purchase of the item.
- Present a prior stolen/lost property report with a police agency for the item.
- Show a photograph with him/herself and the item in it.
- Describe unique characteristics of the item.
- Provide an access code or combination to unlock the item.
Claimant must also present a valid driver’s license or photo ID card.
