San Antonio Honors Symposium

Symposium Overview
The San Antonio Honors Student Research Symposium is committed to showcasing undergraduate research and creative scholarship of Honors students within partnering two and four-year institutions.
We aim to foster an engaged academic community that encourages professional communication, intellectual curiosity, and critical thinking.
By providing a platform for students to present their work, to engage with peers and faculty, and to inspire scholarly endeavors, we celebrate the pursit of knowledge and the transformative power of research.
Symposium Details
- Student presentations will consist of both poster and oral presentations.
- Students submit their proposal to their home institution and the home institution will register the selected students.
Research Proposal Submission Deadline
- Submit a proposal for review to your home institution. A&M San Antonio students, email Honors@tamusa.edu by January 30, 2026.
- Review will include:
- Student name and ID (abc123)
- If you have earned less than or more then 60 credits hours.
- Presenation format: oral and poster
- Proposed abstract (300 words or less) and title of your presentation.
- Student submissions are reviewed and if selected, they will be provided the registration link.
- Poster Submission Deadline: February 20, 2026
- Oral Presentation Slide Submission Deadline: March 16, 2026
Eligibility
The competition is open to honors students from:
- Texas A&M University - San Antonio
- University of Texas at San Antonio
- University of the Incarnate Word
- St. Mary's University
- San Antonio College
- Palo Alto College
- Northeast Lakeview College
- St. Philip's College
- Laredo College
Each institution can select up to 10 students to present.
Competition Awards
The following awards will be given to students in two categories: under 60 credit hours and over 60 credit hours:
- Best Overall
- Best Poster
- Best Oral Presentation
