JumpStart Options

Track 1: Students who need complete the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) Assessment requirements for English/Language Arts and/or Math can take Integrated Reading and Writing and/or an introductory Math course for free during the Jaguar JumpStart program. 

Track 2-A: Students who are exempt or who have successfully passed the TSI assessment for English/Language Arts may enroll into ENGL 1301 + UNIV 1301. 

Track 2-B: Students who are exempt or who have successfully passed the TSI assessment for English/Language Arts may enroll into ENGL 1301 + UNIV 1301. 

Track 2 courses are credit-bearing courses. Students can earn up to 6 credits through Track 2 of Jaguar JumpStart. 98% of A&M-SA students qualify for financial aid. Students who qualify for financial aid may be able to participate in Jaguar JumpStart (Track 2) at a discounted rate.  To check your financial aid status, please contact the Financial Aid office at (210) 784-1300 / Madla, Room 111.   

To qualify for financial aid for Jaguar JumpStart, you must complete the 24/25 FAFSA. You can fill this out at studentaid.gov.
