Student Research

Students at A&M-SA are engaging in research at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. In a Spring 2023 survey of faculty and students, administered by Prof. John Smith and Kristina Irvin of the Mays Center, the majority of faculty and students agreed upon the following definition of undergraduate research:

"An inquiry or investigation conducted by an undergraduate student in collaboration with a faculty member that makes an original intellectual or creative contribution to the discipline."
