AFCEA is a nonprofit membership association serving the military, government, industry, and academia as a forum for advancing professional knowledge and relationships in the fields of communications, information technology, intelligence and global security. 10 of A&M-San Antonio students received a scholarship of $2,500 in Fall 2024. The Department of Defense (DoD) Cyber Service Academy (CSA) aims to develop and strengthen the nation's cybersecurity workforce by providing comprehensive scholarships for students pursuing degrees in cyber-related fields at Texas A&M University- San Antonio. You fill out an application for the Department of Defense to review and select from a pool. This scholarship offers:

• Full tuition and mandatory fees
• Coverage for required textbooks
• A laptop for first-year recipients
• Guaranteed paid summer scholarships
• One cybersecurity conference a year, such as a Defcon, etc.
• Civilian job with the DoD after graduation

Annual Stipends:

• Undergraduate Students: $29,000
• Graduate Students: $34,000

Eligibility Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship
• Rising junior, senior, or graduate student in a cyber-related program
• Minimum GPA of 3.2 (Undergraduate) or 3.5 (Graduate)
• Ability to obtain a security clearance
• Willingness to work for the DoD for each year of scholarship support
