About the Master of Arts in Educational Administration Program

The goal of the Master of Arts in Educational Administration program is to prepare transformative school leaders who successfully meet Texas's Principal as Instructional Leader certification requirements. The program is designed for students interested in educational leadership whose career goals include a principalship, teacher leadership, central office leadership, or district leadership.

Because the Principal as Instructional Leader certification is the only administrative certificate offered by the Texas Education Agency below the Superintendent, individuals earning this certificate are commonly employed in a variety of central office administrative positions.
