About the Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology Program

The Exercise Science Degree Plan prepares students for diverse careers in health and fitness, including clinical and corporate settings, while providing a strong foundation for professional and graduate study. The Physical Therapy Degree Plan prepares students for admission to allied health programs such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, chiropractic, and physician assistant programs. The EC–12 Physical Education Degree Plan equips students to teach physical education and additional content areas, including mathematics, biology, and special education.

The curriculum aligns with the Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities established by the American College of Sports Medicine and the Health Fitness Specialist certification, ensuring preparation for industry standards. Students engage in experiential, student-led research using state-of-the-art Human Performance, Health and Fitness, Muscle Physiology, and Biomechanics laboratories. Professional development is further supported through the student-run Kinesiology Club, which offers volunteer, internship, and mentorship opportunities that enhance career readiness and community engagement.
