About the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science Program
Texas A&M University-San Antonio’s B.S. in Computer Science (CS) is the only ABET-accredited CS program in San Antonio, offering a quality hands-on education grounded in software engineering, databases, operating systems, networks, cybersecurity, and AI. Students can also strengthen their résumés with stackable certificates in Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Mobile Computing, Data Analytics, and the NSA/DHS Cyber Defense Education pathway. San Antonio, a major technology, defense, and innovation hub, offers our program students many career and workforce opportunities in computing.

Graduates of the B.S. in Computer Science program are prepared for careers such as:

Students in the B.S. in Computer Science learn from research-active faculty with expertise in artificial intelligence, software development, cloud computing, and high-performance and data-intensive computing. Faculty specialties include software engineering, software security, secure computing, trustworthy AI, computer vision, LLM-assisted coding, and applied AI for real-world applications in healthcare, transportation, privacy, and science. Together, the faculty provides students with a strong foundation in both advanced research and industry-relevant computing skills.
