Your Jaguar Journey starts here! You have officially been admitted to Texas A&M University–San Antonio, and now it’s time to take your next step: New Student Orientation.

It’s time to check your email!

Once you are accepted, you will confirm your enrollment at Texas A&M University-San Antonio via email. Select YES, and you will be directed to the Enrollment Confirmation Survey. Once you complete the survey, you will choose a date for New Student Orientation.

What to Expect at NSO

New Student Orientation is your official welcome to Jaguar Nation — and it’s designed to get you ready, connected, and excited for your first semester!

During NSO, you’ll have the chance to explore campus and start feeling at home in your new spaces. You’ll meet fellow Jaguars, begin building friendships, and connect with faculty and staff who are here to support you every step of the way.

You’ll also work with your academic advisor to plan your first semester and register for classes. Plus, you’ll get answers to your questions so you can feel confident and prepared as you begin your college journey.

By attending Orientation, you’re setting yourself up for success and kicking off your Jaguar experience with energy, community, and support.

Have questions? We have answers! Check out these FAQs to help you ready for your Orientation. 

Is Orientation required?

Yes! All new students are required to attend and complete New Student Orientation. By attending NSO, you’ll make meaningful connections, learn about campus resources, and register for your first semester at A&M–SA!

How do I sign up for Orientation?

Once you’re admitted, check your email for an invitation to confirm your spot at Texas A&M University–San Antonio. After you click YES and comeplete the survey, you will be able to select the New Student Orientation date that works best for you!

Can I change or update my Orientation date?

Yes! You can log into your Element portal and update/change your Orientation date to best fit your schedule.

Can I bring my family with me to Orientation?

Yes, your family can join you on Orientation Day. Family members can attend our optional Family Orientation. While you’ll be in student sessions, your family will attend their own sessions to learn how they can best support you on your college journey. You and your family will reunite towards the end of Orientation to wrap up the experience together!

When will I register for classes?

At Orientation, you will go through various sessions to get you college-ready! You will have the opportunity to meet with an Academic Advisor and register for classes.

Is lunch provided at Orientation?

Yes! Lunch is included as part of your Orientation day. You’ll get the chance to eat and connect with other new Jaguars during the scheduled meal break.
