How to Request Exam

How to Request Exam

In this video, you will learn how to request to take an exam in the DSS office.

It is the student's responsibility to request to take

an exam in AIM five business days prior to the exam date.

An exam cannot be guaranteed if less than a five business day notice is given.

After logging into AIM,

click on "Alternative Testing", under my accommodations.

Select the class, then click "Schedule an Exam".

Review the terms and conditions of scheduling an exam.

Contact DSS with any questions.

Fill out the following form.

Select the request type,

date of the exam,

time of the exam,

Standard Length Of Exam (In Minutes).

Please note; if the instructor filled out a testing agreement,

then this step is not necessary.

If not, the student needs to know

the standard time the instructor is giving students to complete the exam.

Services requested, and additional notes.

Please provide any additional information that would be helpful in scheduling the exam.

This includes other classes that meet on the same day as the exam,

information from the instructor, etc.

Select "Add Exam Request" when completed.

If the requested exam date does not meet the five business day requirement,

a reason will have to be provided along with additional information.

For example, other available times.

Any changes must be approved by the instructor.

Select "I have read and understand the late exam request policy above",

then select "Update Late Exam Request".

The student will receive an email when the request has been submitted.

To see updates for exam requests,

click "Alternative Testing", again.
