Steps to Study Abroad
Step 1: Express your interest
Start by contacting the Office of International Affairs to let us know you are interested in studying abroad. Our team can help you explore available programs and answer questions about locations, timing, and academic options.
Step 2: Submit the Study Abroad Application
All students must complete the Study Abroad Application to begin the process.

Step 3: Meet with your Academic Advisor
After submitting your application, you must meet with your academic advisor.
Your advisor will help you:

Confirm that studying abroad fits within your degree plan

Determine how credits will apply to your program

Provide guidance on selecting the most appropriate study abroad option
Advisor approval is required before moving forward in the process.
Step 4: Program review and approval
Once your advisor has approved your plan, the Office of International Affairs will review your application and confirm your participation in the program.
Step 5: Prepare for your program
After approval, students will complete several preparation steps, including:

Attending a mandatory pre-departure orientation

Completing required program forms

Reviewing travel and safety information

Ensuring you have a valid passport and any required visas

Arranging program payments and travel plans
Students will also be enrolled in the appropriate course connected to the study abroad experience.
