Cecilia Nguyen

Graduate Trainee

  • Preferred Pronouns: She/Her/Hers
  • Theoretical Orientation/Treatment Approach: I work from a Collaborative Stance with the client utilizing Narrative and Solution-Focused Therapy. I believe that when we are in overwhelming states of numbness, hope may feel dormant — but to be dormant is to await full bloom. Change—whether sudden, gradual, or all-encompassing—is the only constant. People are not a product of their environment and oftentimes come into therapy already strapped with the capabilities to grow from the situations they are in. My role as a therapist is to honor these capabilities by listening, affirming, and reflecting back to clients that the blank page before them is yet unwritten.
