The Student Counseling Center’s primary function is to provide individual therapy services to currently enrolled A&M – San Antonio students. However, our staff can provide presentations and programming support for faculty, staff, and students based on availability.

We request (6) weeks or more before the event/presentation.

To request a presentation or SCC participation in an event, please complete the Outreach Request Form.

If you are a student organization interested in partnering with the Student Counseling Center, please review the guidelines and expectations for collaborating with our department: SCC Policy for Student Organization Collaborations

Mental Health Ally Project

The Mental Health Ally project is a Texas A&M San Antonio program to facilitate conversations about mental health with college students. Increasing mental health awareness on campus can ensure that students can become knowledgeable of the resources to meet their needs, support their continued development while enrolled, and create an environment where students feel confident to discuss their mental health concerns together. The goal is to empower our students to continue the conversation about mental health in their classes and organizations.

Join Active Minds

Active Minds is a student club that raises awareness and educates students about mental health. We aim to create a safe space where students are valued and able to share their thoughts with others. Active Minds is not counseling or group therapy, and we recommend all students in crisis seek help from the Student Counseling Center. How does talking about mental health change from organization to organization? People look at mental health with different experiences, and sharing those experiences better informs how you handle mental health in your personal life.
