Reaching out for mental health support can be a great option to assist in your journey as a Jaguar. The Student Counseling Center is here to make the process as comfortable and helpful as possible. All initial appointments are conducted in-person in Madla 120. Telehealth is available for ongoing appointments upon request.

Scheduling Options
Crisis Appointment – Are you experiencing a mental health crisis and in need of an immediate appointment with a clinician?
- In the past two weeks I have had thoughts of ending my life AND considered acting on them.
- I am in immediate danger of harming or killing someone else.
- I am seeking services because of a recent physical and/or sexual assault.
- I am hearing and/or seeing things that others around me do not hear or see.
- I am in immediate need of emotional support because someone close to you recently died.
Initial Consultation – Are you interested in ongoing counseling services or unsure of what services you need?
- I am experiencing anxiety and/or stress.
- I feel depressed and/or have low mood/energy.
- I am concerned about my alcohol and/or drug use.
- I am having difficulty adjusting to a recent change.
- I am having a relationship problem.
- I am unsure about something significant in my future.

- If you are currently in crisis (experiencing serious thoughts of suicide or of harming others), please call us at 210-784-1331 instead of scheduling through the online portal so we can provide immediate support. Ongoing clients must schedule by phone or in person.

Case Management – Are you in need of a referral for a community resource?

The SCC provides 24/7/365 access to licensed, professional counseling at 210-784-1331 – even during evenings, weekends, and holidays. Please listen to the options provided over the phone.
Any enrolled student has access to 24/7 virtual counseling through the TELUS Student Support App and website. Learn more on the TELUS page.

Are virtual appointments offered?
After an in-person initial consultation appointment, clients may request telecounseling/virtual appointments with their counselor when scheduling their next session.
