Orientation

Here in the A&M-SA transfer center We understand that every student’s journey is unique, which is why we offer multiple orientation pathways to support your transition in a way that fits your needs, schedule, and preferences. Regardless of which option you choose, our goal is the same: to ensure you feel confident, informed, and prepared to begin your academic journey.

In-person option:

Students who prefer a more immersive, guided experience may choose our half-day, in-person orientation. During this session, you will connect with fellow students, explore campus through a guided tour, receive your student ID, register for classes, and meet with key campus offices. You will also have the opportunity to discuss how you plan to finance your degree, including talking with The Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships, Military Affairs (VA benefits), and other available resources—all in one streamlined visit.

Online Orientation:

For students who need greater flexibility, we also offer a fully online orientation that can be completed anytime, from anywhere. This option allows you to move through the material at your own pace and revisit sections as needed, making it a convenient choice for those balancing work, family, or other responsibilities.

No matter which pathway you select, orientation is designed to equip you with the tools, information, and connections you need to successfully begin your academic journey.

Transfer Assemblies:

Transfer Assemblies is an optional extension of your orientation experience and is open to students regardless of which orientation pathway they initially chose. Transfer Assemblies is designed to bring new transfer students into our campus community by offering an open Q&A panel, a ‘Let’s Talk Transfer’ presentation lead by current transfer students, a resource fair to meet campus partners, and concludes with a networking dinner to provide you with the chance to meet students and faculty members within your major. You’ll also leave with an exclusive Transfer Assemblies T-Shirt and other transfer swag. Not sold yet?
