Notice of Victim Rights and Options
When an alleged Clery Act violation occurs, victims are entitled to receive information regarding the procedures to be followed if a crime of dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault, or stalking has occurred, including written information about their rights and options.
Mandatory Reporting to Title IX Coordinator
Senate Bill 212 amended the Texas Education Code to require an employee of a public or private, or independent higher education institution who witnesses or receives information regarding incidents of sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating violence, or stalking to report it to the Title IX Coordinator.
A CSA’s report to the Title IX Coordinator will fulfill Clery Act VAWA statistical reporting requirements for these incidents of crime.
